DPR recreation centers, aquatic facilities, parks, fields and playgrounds will be closed on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Mayor Vincent C. Gray announced today that the District of Columbia Government will be closed on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 due to inclement weather.  As a result, all DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) recreation centers, aquatic facilities, parks, fields, and playgrounds will be closed.

All DPR recreation and community centers will be closed.

All DPR aquatic facilities will be closed.

All DPR fields are closed/off-line.  All DPR events and all permitted events on DPR fields are cancelled.

For up-to-date information on the winter weather, check DC HSEMA's website at www.hsema.dc.gov.  Please call 311 to report downed trees and call 911 for emergencies.  District residents are strongly encouraged to stay indoors if possible and DPR will send out updates as necessary.
