Mayor Vincent. C. Gray and more than 20 government agencies will celebrate the beginning of One City Summer, the District’s comprehensive summer program.

The initiative provides an opportunity for youth and families to enjoy activities and receive information on all the services and activities available to District residents this summer.

2 pm – 6 pm : Kick Off Event
6 pm - 9 pm : Teen Event

Background

DPR, DOES, DCPS, DCPL, MPD, FEMS, DC Water, HSEMA, DDOT, DOH, OSSE, Serve DC, DPW, DHS, DYRS, DMHH, the DC National Guard and other government and community agencies will offer information on the safety, educational, recreational and nutritional activities, programs and services they will provide to District residents during the summer months. Each agency will have an information table on Saturday.

The event also will include free food, entertainment, giveaways, wall climbing, swimming, skating, a moon bounce and more. Late afternoon activities will focus on teens.
