National Park Service Fields Closed

NPS Fields permitted by DPR Closed due to Federal Goverment Shut Down

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced today that due to the current federal goverment shut down, all field permits for National Park Service (NPS) federal fields are suspended/cancelled indefinitely.  Normal field activity and permits will take place on all DC goverment/DPR fields.

The following National Park Service parks & fields are closed during this period:

  • Parks: Fort Dupont and Rock Creek Park
  • Fields: Carter Barron, Kenilworth Multi-Purpose and Marine Barracks Washington Annex Field

All permits at these locations are cancelled for the duration of the federal government shut down.

All permits at DPR fields will be honored.
