SwimJitsu Comes to DC on Saturday, May 20th

(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that DPR will once again participate in SwimJitsu, an annual nationwide event presented by USA Swimming. Swimjitsu will take place in 40 locations in 17 cities across the country. The DC SwimJitsu event will occur Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9 am until approximately 6:15 pm at the Takoma Aquatic Center (300 Van Buren St., NW). Registration is required.

SwimJitsu is designed to introduce new swimmers and their parents to fun. The event includes challenging ninja-themed inflatables (in the spirit of Wipeout or American Ninja Warrior). Each competitor will race against the clock to complete the ultimate aquatic obstacle course using all their speed, endurance, and swimming skills to gain the rank of Grand Master Swimja.
