DPR reopens outdoor pools after Hurricane Irene

DPR reopens outdoor pools at 2:00pm on Sunday. Takoma Aquatic Center and Fort Dupont Pool will remain closed. Grass fields also remain closed.

WASHINGTON, DC – The District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) reopens outdoor pools after Hurricane Irene. Takoma Aquatic Center will remain closed due to a power outage and Fort Dupont Pool will remain closed due to debris. 

All natural grass fields are closed due to the wet field conditions. Artificial turf fields are open. Recreation centers return to their normal schedule and will reopen on Monday, August 29, 2011.
