WORK AT A POOL

With the DPR Aquatics Division, you could be a Lifeguard, Pool Operator, or Customer Service Representative. Not qualified to be a lifeguard? DPR will train you to be a lifeguard - for FREE!
ENGAGE YOUTH IN THE DISTRICT
- DPR Roving Leaders Camp – Facilitator, Assistant Facilitator, & Driver. Engage kids ages 3-12 in fun, positive activities. Check @dpr_rovingleaders to see what Roving Leaders do.
- Teen Division - Content Specialist and Administrative Clerk. Mentor teen participants in the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program. (MBSYEP) or review and maintain time and attendance reports for the program.
- Boost Camp - Site Support Assistant, Behavior Specialist, Enrichment Facilitator, Site Administrator. Helping lead fun camps with a strong educational component for ages 11-13.
WORK AT DPR'S OVERNIGHT CAMP
- Discovery Camp, Little Explorers Camp, Sports Camp, and Aqua Day Camp - Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator. Instructing campers in theme-based curriculum, arts and crafts activities, and structured games and sports.
- Therapeutic Recreation Camp – Recreation Specialist & Facilitator. Instructing campers with disabilities ages 5-16 in fun, engaging, and adaptive programming.
- Summer Camp Office Program Monitor - Help make sure DPR summer camps are delivering for campers and parents!
WORK AT A SUMMER CAMP
- Discovery Camp - Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator. Instructing campers ages 6-10 in theme-based curriculum, arts and crafts activities, and structured games and sports.
- Sports, Health, & Fitness – Facilitator, Assistant Facilitator, & Camp Aide. Supervise kids ages 8-13 and lead them in sports, character education, and indoor/outdoor fun.
- Little Explorers - Facilitator, Assistant Facilitator, & Camp Aide. Instructing campers ages 3 - 5 in theme-based curriculum, arts and crafts activities, and structured games and sports.
- Therapeutic Recreation Camp – Recreation Specialist & Facilitator. Instructing campers with disabilities ages 5-16 in fun, engaging, and adaptive programming.

SUPPORT SUMMER OPERATIONS
- Support Services - Warehouse Assistant & Warehouse Driver. Help make the events happen by moving and setting up the items that make DPR the place where fun happens.
- DPR Park Rangers - Urban Park Ranger. Support opening and closing of parks, support staff and volunteers to execute DPR events, and engage with people using DPR parks.
- Human Resources - Human Resources Assistant. Help manage administrative tasks associated with summer camp including registration, payroll, attendance, and program monitoring and evaluation.
- Food & Nutrition. Food Safety Instructor & Food Monitor. Help make sure children throughout the District receive the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow.
WORK AT DPR'S OVERNIGHT CAMP
- Senior Counselors, Counselors, Support Staff, and Environmental Program Coordinator. Camp Riverview is DPR's 200-acre waterfront camp in Southern Maryland which hosts a residential camp for DC youth ages 8-13 over the summer.
- All positions at Camp Riverview require a full-week, overnight commitment each session. Living in cabins, leading activities and more from wake-up to lights-out.
