The Administration’s Budget Engagement Forums are designed as interactive discussions where DC residents can provide input to help shape priorities. The Budget Engagement Forums are scheduled for Thursday, February 25 at Roosevelt Senior High School, Saturday, February 27 at the Department of Employment Services, and Monday, February 29 at King Greenleaf Recreation Center.

To see a full listing of programs, go directly to the A to Z ASAP Program Index page for the entire list of spring programs, activities and classes offered.  Feel free to browse the many programs that DPR offers without creating an account.  However, in order to register for a program, an ASAP account must be created first for each program participant enrolled.

DPR's Spring Urban Garden Certificate Course Open Registration

The DC Parks and Recreation (DPR) is offering a free Urban Gardening Certificate Program. This course will cover a variety of topics about urban gardening in District from garden design, organic management, critter proof composting, cooking what you grow, food justice and many more. After the completion of this course each participant will receive a certificate and the knowledge and experience to create and manage a large variety of urban gardening projects.

DPR 2016 Presidents’ Day Holiday Schedule

All Department of Parks and Recreation administrative offices, recreation/community centers and aquatic facilities will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2016, in observance of Presidents’ Day.

No permits will be issued on that day. All permitted events will take place as scheduled.  Grass fields are closed for the season and will remain offline.

All turf fields and playgrounds will be open.
