8 Ball Pool Tournament - Trinidad Recreation Center
The purpose of this event is to give the city's pool lovers a chance to come together and compete in a double elimination tournament. This tournament will be for bragging rights as the city's best pool player. Light refreshments will be served.
Players are encouraged to bring their own pool cues.
29th Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet - Takoma Aquatic Center
The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will host the 29th Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet (BHISM) to be held from Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 15, 2015, at DPR's Takoma Aquatic Center located at 300 Van Buren Street, NW - Washington, DC 20012. Takoma will close at 12 noon on Thursday, February 12 in order to prepare for the BHISM, and will reopen to the public on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

Guy Mason Senior Valentine Party - Guy Mason Recreation Center
The Guy Mason Recreation Center staff will host a party for the seniors who visit and participate in programs and events at our center.
DPR Holiday Closure
All DPR recreation/community centers, aquatic facilities and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2015 in observance of the Presidents' Day holiday.
All permitted events will take place as scheduled. Grass fields are closed for the season and will remain offline.
All fields and playgrounds will be open.
Famous Black Americans - Lamond Recreation Center
Participants will research famous Black Americans and create a collage display.
Sherwood Tiny Tots Valentine's Day Potluck Party - Sherwood Recreation Center
The Sherwood Tiny Tots Need Recreation Too Program will play and share sweets and treats together in the spirit of Valentine's Day!
