DC Free Summer Meals Program Now on Saturdays
Meals will be offered from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Saturday from July 19 to August 16 at the 15 DPR locations. Meals will be offered from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at four DCPL locations; however, each DCPL location will have a different schedule for the dates on which they will be offering meals. Please see the list below for the dates, times and locations of all the Saturday Free Summer Meals locations.

Evening Hikes - Benning Stoddert Community Center
Please note that all evening hike's will promptly depart from their respective locations. The July 10/Anacostia hike will take place on the Anacostia River Walk (paved trail); the July 24/Benning Stoddert hike will take place on the Fort Circle Parks Hiker-Biker trail (natural trail); and the August 4/Kalorama hike will take place on the Adams Morgan Heritage trail (paved trail). Wheelchairs, strollers and bikes are encouraged on the paved trail outings. Please be sure to bring water, hat, etc. and wear sturdy shoes.

Friday Night Boxing Under the Stars - Barry Farm Basketball Courts
Amateur boxers between the ages of 8 - 25 compete, display their skills and honor the art of boxing. Both events are sanctioned by USA Boxing/Potomac Valley Association and the DC Boxing Commission.

Check out examples of no-dig gardening, in-ground and raised beds and learn lots of tricks for growing some great summer crops (including vegetables, herbs and native plants.) Come ready with questions and gardening gloves!
