Join Mayor Vincent C. Gray, DC Department of Public Works (DPW) Director William Howland, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) Director Lionell Thomas, Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Acting Director Sharia Shanklin, Cirque Du Soleil - Amaluna’s Company Manager Franck Hanselman and renown artist Aniekan Udofia as we kick off the 2014 MuralsDC season with a “splash!” The celebration will feature Udofia’s completion of an original artwork on the entrance of the William H. Rumsey aquatic facility; along with the TSNY DC trapeze school, face painting, animal balloons, cotton candy, sno-cones, music, free give-aways and more!

MuralsDC, funded by DPW, combats the growing trend of illegal graffiti, by revitalizing blighted and vandalized properties with creative, innovative murals throughout the District of Columbia.
