The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) worked closely with DC Public Schools and Hearst Elementary School to provide a new playground for patrons of Hearst Recreation Center, 3950 37th Street, NW, and students of Hearst Elementary School.
The new playground included the following features:
- Playground area for children 2 to 5 years old
- Playground area for children 6 to 12 years old
- Resurfaced play courts
- Youth soccer field
- Improved outdoor seating
