Lafayette Grey Water Irrigation System

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) installed grey water reservoirs to collect the water from the water work structure and the surrounding urban run-off for the purpose of irrigating Lafayette Park at the intersection of 33rd and Patterson Streets, NW.

The work will be completed in two phases:

  • Phase 1: Construction of the grey water reservoirs and installation of partial irrigation system around the tennis courts, gardens, and play ground areas.
  • Phase 2: Installation of the irrigation system along Broad Branch Road and east of the play ground area.
