The DPR Urban Gardens division is turning our signature Black Growers panel into a virtual experience for 2021.
This interactive virtual session is led by local experts and focuses on agricultural storytelling and urban farming education from the perspective of the Black community.
This year's theme is "Transcendence: Past, Present, Future" and our featured guests include:
- Melissa Jones Creator Food Talks DC and the Edible Activist Podcast
- Charlyn Griffith Creator Philadelphia’s Free Brunch Program and WholisticART
- Dishaun Harris Board Member of Soul Fire Farm and founder of Rooted Life, LLC
- Doug Adams Founder of New Brooklyn Farms
All those who attend the virtual panel will also receive a digital copy of the Black Growers Month Green Book, which includes one coupon for a DC farm/farmers market, an original essay, and original farm-to-table recipes from local Black chefs. Agricultural enthusiasts, you don't want to miss this!
