Washington, DC - Today, DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Director, Jesús Aguirre, announced that the 2010 DPR Winter Activity Guide is now available online to residents.  The guide features activities and events for children, teens, adults, families, seniors and those with special needs.

The 2010 Winter Activity Guide includes an updated directory of DPR facilities, a directory of recreation and enrichment programs, sports and fitness activities, a listing of senior services, and a directory of therapeutic recreation services.

"The Winter Guide highlights a number of the new programs, partnerships, and renovated recreation centers that DPR has made available in the past year," said Director Aguirre. “From Supreme Teens to Senior Momentum, basketball to painting, Aqua Aerobics to Afternoon Access, DPR truly has something for everyone.”

The majority of the programs listed in the 2010 Winter Activity Guide are free of charge to District residents; nominal fees may apply to non-residents. To register for DPR programs, visit the agency’s website at DPR.DC.GOV.

The 2010 Winter season begins today, December 20th. Residents may register online or at a DPR recreation center during normal operating hours. The 2010 Winter Activity Guide can be downloaded from the DPR website. Select the link below to view the complete guide.
