DPR recreation centers and pools close for the President's Day Holiday.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that all recreation centers and pool will close for the President's Day holiday on Monday, February 21, 2011. 

Additionally DPR will close all aquatic facilities beginning Saturday, February 19th through Sunday, February 20th as DPR hosts the “Silver to Gold” 25th Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet at the Takoma Aquatic Center. DPR expects over 950 athletes from around the country for this annual historic event.

The event will be held at the Takoma Aquatic Center, 300 Van Buren Street, NW from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2011 and from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2011.
