(WASHINGTON, DC) – In observance of the upcoming winter holidays, all DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) facilities will operate on the following schedule:

All facilities will close at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, December 24 and December 31;

All facilities will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 and January 1;
-
All DPR Recreation and Community centers will operate on an adjusted holiday schedule on December 23, 26, 27, 30 and January 2 and 3;

DPR Aquatic facilities will maintain normal hours of operation on December 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 and January 3, 4 and 5;

Thursday, December 26 and January 2, aquatic facilities will open at 9 am. Marie Reed will not hold morning swim hours on December 26 and January 2;

DPR fields will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 and January 1. No permits will be issued for these two holidays;
- and DPR's Winter Wondercamp will operate two sessions. The first session will be held on December 23, 26 and 27; and the second session will be held December 30, 31, January 2 and 3. Spaces are still available and registration is required.
DPR's adjusted holiday schedule will include expanded operating hours on December 23 - 27 and December 30 - January 3 at all DPR centers. Select DPR locations (see the list below) will observe their individual, normal opening hours and will close at 8 pm. The Southeast Tennis and Learning Center will have adjusted hours (listed below) and all other sites (sites not listed below) will open at 11:30 am and close at 8 pm.

DPR's Winter Wondercamp will hold two sessions during the DC Public Schools (DCPS) winter break. Session one will take place on December 23, 26 and 27, 2013; and session two will take place on December 30 and 31, 2013 and January 2 and 3, 2014. Winter wondercamp will operate from 9 am to 5 pm, with before-care (8 am to 9 am) and after-care (5 pm to 6 pm). Camps are divided by age - 3 to 5 years old, 6 to 12 years old and 8 to 13 years old.
