DPR Spring Program Registration Opens on Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 12

Offerings Available Include Spring Break Camps, Soccer, Pickleball, Fitness, and Senior Programs

(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) are reminding residents that registration for DPR’s 2025 spring programming will open on Tuesday, March 11 for aquatics programs and Wednesday, March 12 for all other programs. Registration opens at noon on both days. A full list of offerings is available at DPRprograms.com.
 
DPR is offering a variety of new and returning programs, including: 

  • Junior Lifeguard Academy for youth ages 12-19 who are interested in swimming and lifeguarding and need to sharpen their skills
  • MLS GO Soccer League in partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS), based in Wards 7 and 8 
  • Flag Football for children ages 6-14
  • Environmental programs at communal gardens and seedling giveaways
  • Music and Dance classes, including ballet and hip hop
  • Sports programs such as tennis, pickleball, kayaking, tee-ball, volleyball, and intro to lacrosse
  • Spring Break camps for children ages 3-5 and 6-12 during DCPS Spring Break
  • Senior programs including cardio, aquatics, tai chi, and day activities  

Registration for spring programming is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To manage high demand, DPR will implement a virtual “waiting room” on both registration days.
 
DPR spring program registration opens: 

  • Noon on Tuesday, March 11, for aquatics programs ONLY
  • Noon on Wednesday, March 12, for all other spring programs

Residents are encouraged to create an account in advance to streamline the registration process. To set up an account, visit dpr.dc.gov/DPRaccount

DPR also offers reduced rates for qualifying DC residents. To apply for reduced rates, residents must be approved before registering. The online application is available here.

Residents are also invited to participate in the HerStory 5K tomorrow, Saturday, March 8 at Freedom Plaza in celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day. There is still time to register at Herstory5k.com.
