DPR’S 2011 Adult Sports offer the following leagues: Men’s Slow Pitch, Coed 5-Men and 5-Women, Coed 7-Men and 3-Women, Men’s DC Sunday Fast Pitch and Flag Football (Coed, Men and Women). Students from GW’s ISCOPES team help lead youth nutrition education classes through cooking lessons, based around what can be grown in the garden. Lessons center on why fresh fruits and vegetables are good for the body, as well as the myriad environmental benefits of eating fresh local produce.
