Registration for DPR’s Winter Programs Begins November 6

(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced registration for its 2017-2018 Winter Programs begins at 9 am on Monday, November 6, 2017.

D.C. residents eager to get out of the cold and enjoy DPR’s offerings can enroll in sports activities such as basketball for adults and youth, and fencing; fitness classes including Pilates and weight training; as well as enrichment programs for all ages. There are new cutting-edge classes like Piloxing and Qi Gong and so much more. Included are also senior and aquatic programs.

“We offer fun and unique programs that help individuals and families get active, learn new skills and have a good time in a safe, social setting,” explained M. Themba Masimini, DPR’s Deputy Director of Recreation.

The full listing of winter programs is available online, but an account must be created for each participant to register for a program. Users are encouraged to set up an account prior to the registration date.

Registration must be completed online. Credit cards will not be accepted at DPR sites.

To register for a program:

  • Visit DPR’s Registration Portal
  • Select an age group
  • Browse location and program type
  • Select a program, add to cart, and proceed to checkout
