(WASHINGTON, DC) – This October, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is filled with amazing events and opportunities to Scream Out Loud, tour Haunted Houses, participate in Jean and Graphic Tee Day, recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and more!

  • Bring your work out gear and train with DPR for FREE at the Ward 3 Funky Fitness First Fridays event on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Wilson Aquatic Center (4551 Fort Drive, NW) from 5 pm to 8:30 pm.
     
  • Join DPR's Bald Eagle/Barry Farm staff and Ward 8 at the "8th Annual Ward 8 Breast Cancer Walk: Reflections of Pink" event starting from Bald Eagle Recreation Center (100 Joliet Street, SW) and ending at the Barry Farm Recreation Center (1230 Sumner Road, SE) on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 8:30 am – 2 pm.
     
  • Join us at the Area 2 Open House Fun Day on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Guy Mason Recreation Center (3600 Calvert Street, NW) from 12 pm – 3 pm. Art For Kidz, Sister To Sister & Story Hour and more programs are available this Fall.
