Play DC Master Plan

DPR, the DC Office of Planning (OP) and over 25 stakeholder organizations, in collaboration with consulting firm AECOM, developed "Play DC, a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the District of Columbia" in the Fall of 2012.  The purpose of the "Play DC Master Plan" is to map a new vision for advancing the District's park and recreation resources over the next 15-20 years.

Play DC Playground Improvement Initiative

DPR, in partnership with the Department of General Services (DGS), embarked on the Play DC playground improvement project.  Launched in 2012, the multi-year citywide play space project transformed the District's playgrounds into themed, state of the art playspaces; and concluded in 2014.  Please visit Play DC Playground Improvement Initiative for the list of the 40 playgrounds, their locations, themes, amenities and more.
