DPR Opens Registration for 2018-2019 Cooperative Play Program

(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Kids, Camps and Co-Op Division will open registration for the 2018- 2019 Cooperative Play program on Monday, April 9th at 12pm for residents and Monday, April 23rd at 12pm for non-residents. The Co-op program will operate from Tuesday, September 4, 2018 - Friday, May 24, 2019 at various locations throughout the District of Columbia. Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis and enrollment is subject to availability. Please note participants can register online for this program when registration opens.

Co-op advances youth development using outcome-based programming and developmentally appropriate practices in a creative and recreational play environment. The Cooperative Play program implements an "Activity & Theme Guide" throughout the year. Utilizing this guide/model allows Co-op facilitators and parent volunteers to effectively collaborate on activities, trips, and ideas.

The Co-op program fee is $1,920.00 for residents and $2,560.00 for non-residents per program year. Program fee payments can be made online via credit or debit card. NOTE: There is a separate $75 non-refundable online registration fee due at the time of registration. Cashier’s check or money order payable to DC Treasurer can be mailed to DC Parks & Recreation 1250 U St NW Washington, DC 20009 Attention: Cooperative Play Program (child’s name).

The Co-op program services children ages 18 months - 4 ½ years. To register, children must be within the required age range for a program on September 30th of their enrollment year.
