Summer Camps

Summer Camps with photos of children

DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has been providing camps and camp activities to the District’s youth for over 30 years. DPR offers a wide variety of summer camp experiences for youth ages 3 - 17. On average, over 5,000 children utilize DPR’s camps each summer.

Registration for DPR summer camps will open on Monday, February 5, 2018. DPR offers a rolling registration—a limited number of program offerings will open for registration each day over a one-week period. Once open for registration, DPR summer camps remain open until full capacity is reached and/or the first day of the summer camp session.

The 2018 summer camp season begins June 18th and ends August 17th. Each camp session is typically 2 weeks long, but can vary depending on the camp offering.

Reduced rates are available for qualifying families and before and after care is also available at most locations.
